Elisa Mercedes Flores, 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her husband: Ernesto Flores, sister: Susana Rios, and grandson: Jose Gerardo “Jerry” Contreras Jr.She is survived by her sons: Jose I. (Janie) Marfil, Antonio F. (Griselda) Marfil, Juan F. (Hilda) Marfil, Carlos Marfil, and Felix (Araceli) Marfil, daughters: Enedina Paniagua, Maria Teresa Marfil, Mercedes Marfil, Elma Contreras, and Irma Flores, 40 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 17 great great-grandchildren, other extended family members and friends. A visitation for the deceased will be held on Friday, March 25, 2010 from 5pm-9pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services, with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 10am, with a service in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Mario Saldivar from Garnett Baptist Church of San Antonio, TX. Interment will follow immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jose I. Marfil, Antonio F. Marfil, Juan F. Marfil, Carlos Marfil, Felix Marfil, Jorge G. Contreras, Armando Cruz, and John David Marfil. Honorary pallbearers will be: Adam F. Marfil, Antonio Marfil Jr., Jose Antonio Lopez, Jaime G. Contreras, and Jose Luis Martinez.
