Elida B. Flores, 80, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, November 23, 2023. Mrs. Flores is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Flores; granddaughter, Joecelynn Hope Valdez; parents, Juan Buentello Garcia and Virginia Ortegon Buentello and brother Rodolfo Buentello.
She is survived by her children, Maria De La Luz Flores, Virginia Evelia (Luis Gerardo) Perez, Elizabeth Margarita (Jose Alberto) Valdez and Claudia Iliana (Jesus Garza) Ramos; sister, Maria Cruz Buentello Gomez; grandchildren, Alexis Perez, Karina Perez, Luis Gerardo Perez, Jr., Alyssa (Benjamin) Musil, Chris Alberto Valdez, Rochelle Iliana Ramos, Roberto Ramos, Romeo Ramos III and Ruby Ramos; 3 great grandchildren; as well as other family members who will greatly miss her.
The Flores family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Luis Gerardo Perez, Jr., Chris Alberto Valdez, Roberto Ramos, Romeo Ramos, III., Luis Gerardo Perez, Jose A. Valdez, Jr and Jesus Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be: Oscar A. Gomez and Juan Carlos Gomez.

Lucy and the Flores family: my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. I was fortunate enough to meet her while she was employed. She truly enjoyed what she did while she worked. She surely was not one to be idle. I remember Lucy taking her to Las Vegas so she could enjoy the sights of the city and the sounds of the slots. There are no words which will take the pain you are going through away. We learn to adjust our lives without our loved ones in them. May Mrs. Flores rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.
