Denise Nicole Lockler

Denise Nicole Lockler, 18, passed away August 22, 2013.

Nicole was born in El Paso, Texas and was a long time Laredo resident. She was a recent graduate from J.W. Nixon High School. Her goal was to become an educator and help autistic children. During her short life, Nicole was an usher at Uni -Trade Stadium for the Laredo Lemurs. She was known for her great love towards animals especially her horse and the outdoors. Amongst her activities, they included golfing, using her four-wheeler to roundup horses and could imitate people’s voices. Her wonderful spirit, joy, and talents will forever be remembered.

You were never lost for words in life, so why be silent now.
Rattle chains! Slam door! Moan! Groan! And Yell.
Do what you can, what you must!
And you who loved so deeply, so knowing, so kindly
Would doubly protest more defiantly at the staining and
Damning of our lives than at the loss of your own
So shriek, rattle, haunt as long and loud as you can,
And my heart and mind will join you to protest your loss.”

Left to cherish her memory is her mother: Fabiola D. Lockler of Laredo, uncle: Jose Salinas as well as numerous cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her family will receive friends at the Fred Dickey chapel, Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A service of remembrance will be celebrated at 7:00pm followed by a balloon release and a gathering in the reception room at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Laredo Animal Protective Society, 2500 Gonzalez St., Laredo, Texas 78040.
