Mr. Tijerina was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed cooking and fishing. Mr. Tijerina worked at a steel mill all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Valerie Lee Tijerina.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years of marriage, Alice Tijerina, children: Victoria Tijerina, Veronica Tijerina and Michael Tijerina, grandchildren: Jimmy, Daniel Martinez and Melissa Randall, great-grandchildren: Gunner Lee Tijerina, Alyssa, Brianna, Brian Randall, Reyna Rose and Jade Crystal Martinez.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive, Laredo, TX 78041, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from the funeral home, via cortege, to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

I am one of Alice's oldest friends from Chicago. I remember when she and Cosme met and married. I am grateful that my dear friend found the love of her life, and that he was so good to her.
