Benito S. Rangel Sr.

Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, was called home by his Lord and Savior on April 27, 2015. Benito was a lifelong resident of Laredo, served in the US Army Reserve, and ran and owned his own business for many years. He was a beloved deacon and church administrator at his church, Primera Iglesia Bautista in Laredo.  He was quick to lend a hand to all in need. People would stop by at church as his reputation preceded him. He will be missed and impossible to replace. He now resides in Heaven.

Romans 8-28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanca S Rangel, brothers: Luis A Rangel, Ramiro E. Rangel and Homero S Rangel

He is survived by his loving wife Laura of 46 years, sons: Ben S Rangel Jr., (Adrianna) and Luis Lozano (Marta) daughter: Martha A Rangel Cervantes (Jose), 2 grandchildren: Caleb and Karissa, 4 sisters: Antonieta (Gilberto), Elvia, Rosalinda and Irma (Eliseo), 2 brothers: Hector and Mario (Araceli) and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends, Friday, May 1, 2015, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a prayer service will be held at 7:00pm.  Rev. Dorso Maciel will officiate.
