On February 9, 2014 Baltazar “El Wero” Campos passed away at his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Campos worked for Howland and Medina Engineering for many years and later worked for the Sacred Heart Children’s Home up until October of 2013. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music and was a great dancer.
Mr. Campos is preceded in death by his parents: Santiago and Zenaida Campos; parents-in-law: Macedonio and Maria Garza; sisters: Anita Campos and Rosa Campos de Olivares, brothers-in-law: Juan Garza and Pablo Salazar. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years of marriage, Minerva Campos, children: Julie (Esteban) Esquivel, Claudia Campos, Baltazar (Alma) Campos, Jr., Cindy (David) Martinez, Mary Ann (Daniel Holguin) Campos, Ricardo (Mariely) Campos, Jorge Luis (Sonia) Campos, 22 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters: Antonia (Gregorio) Campos, Maricela Campos, Maria Rosario (+Hermilio) Villarreal and Narcedalia Ruiz who he loved like a daughter.
The family will be receiving guests Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive, Laredo, TX 78041, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. Chapel service will be officiated at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
