Aurora Sanchez, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 19, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones.  She courageously fought cancer never losing her spirit or faith.  She was born to Refugio and Marta Vasquez in Oilton, Texas on June 16, 1951.

Most important to Aurora was her family, and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jose Mario Sanchez; her parents, Refugio and Marta Vasquez, her parents-in-law, Jose and Leonor Sanchez; her sister, Herminia V. Rodriguez; and her brother, Adan Vasquez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jose Mario (Nora) Sanchez, Jr., Thelma Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez and Yvonne (Abel) Moreno; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; her siblings; Virginia (Roberto) Diaz of Skidmore, Texas, Susana V. Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Reyes Vasquez and Refugio Vasquez, Jr. (Ofelia Garcia) both of Laredo, Texas, Carmen Vasquez of Beeville, Texas and Margarita V. Parhm of Laredo, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a holy rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.  Cremation service will be held at a later date.
