Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his niece: Juanita Garza, brother-in-law: Jose E. Gutierrez and granddaughter: Jennifer Michelle Martinez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, of 54 years of marriage, Yolanda L. Martinez, children: Irma Martinez, Antonio (Blanca) Martinez, Jr., Joel (Lourdes) Martinez, Diana Martinez, Ruben (Dorscilla) Martinez and Gloria Martinez, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, February 16, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A prayer service will be officiated at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2015, at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. Chapel service will be held at 9:00 am. Interment will immediately follow to the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Antonio Martinez, Jr., Joel Martinez, Ruben Martinez, David Martinez, Andres Alvarez, Jr. Carlos A. Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Jr. and Juan Lazaro.

I forever be grateful to Antonio, for being a friend to me when I moved back to LAREDO and had no friends, however he became my friend and through him, I befriended Lupita, Guero whom became such good friends we became Compadres! Claudia is a great friend and I was privileged to meet the rest of the Martinez family! All Because one day, Antonio took the time back in 1992 to make a new friend! Me! I LOVE You! Antonio, Thank you! I WILL see you again in heaven,!
