Anselmo R. Ortiz, 91, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his son, Efrain Ortiz, parents; Tiburcio and Aurelia Ortiz.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years of marriage, Silvestra Ortiz, children; Ramon (Petra) Ortiz, Luis Alberto (Juanita) Ortiz, Socorro Hernandez, Joaquín (Liliana) Ortiz, José Ortiz and Cristina (Cecilio) Hernandez, grandchildren;Isaias Ortiz, Alejandro Ortiz, Sandra Ortiz, Luis Alberto Ortiz Jr., Alejandra Ortiz, Guadalupe Ortiz, Joaquín Ortiz Jr., Ricardo Ortiz, Juan Manuel Ortiz, Martha Cristina Ortiz, Jessica Aguilar, Valeria Ortiz, Cristy McAlister, Jacqueline Hernandez, Karla Priscilla Hernandez, José Abraham Hernandez, Jesús Adán Hernandez, Norma De León and Eduardo De León, great-grandchildren; José Luis Peña Jr., Ashley Peña, Nivea Ortiz, Christopher Esparza, Jasmine Ortiz, Timothy Aguilar, Sergio A. Aguero, Joseph Aguero, Estevan Aguero, Carly McAlister, Cody McAlister, Coner McAlister, Perla Ruby Treviño, Mia Cristina Hernandez, Jorge Treviño Jr. and Kimberly Nuñez.

The family will receive guests Monday, June 13, 2016, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where a holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joaquin Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Ramon Ortiz, Luis Ortiz, Jose A. Hernandez, Cecilio Hernandez and Jose Luis Peña, Jr.
