Obituary

Our beloved mother Ana Maria Torres, 88, entered into eternal rest on Wed. April 3, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Eusebio Torres and Julia Torres and siblings Maria De Jesus Guerra, Estela Noyola and Consuelo Dovalina, son Rodolfo Garcia Jr and daughter Ana Laura Click.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Rogelio (Minnie) Garcia, Maria C (Henry+) Miller and Nancy Garcia. Sister Guadalupe (Guadalupe)Perez. Her 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great Great-Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews that will greatly miss her.

Her grandchildren called her “BONA”. She would make her special breakfast on Sundays, which was the family gathering day. Most of all, she was known for her flour tortillas and many delicious foods she prepared, and as soon as a grandchild was in a highchair she would put the small tortilla rolled up in their hand to enjoy. Everyone that you brought to Bona’s house was welcomed and left with a full stomach.

She loved all her children and grandchildren and would do and give anything for them! She loved to dance around, and every day would go with her friends to exercise until it was no longer possible. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and the disease slowly took her away from her family. She will be greatly missed by all.

We would like to thank Rene & Veronica Garcia for all their love and prayers shown to her during these last two years. Also, Norma Torres for her gracious help with everything and the Laredo West Nursing staff, who took great care of her.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and a rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
