Amelia Gamboa, 64, passed away on Saturday, May 01, 2010.Mrs. Gamboa enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.She was preceded in death by her son; Jerry Overby, granddaughter; Kimberly Mendoza, In-laws; Gonzalo and Maria T. Gamboa, sisters; Josefina Gomez, Hortencia Gomez and Estela West, parents; Salvador and Angelita Lopez, Mrs. Gamboa is survived by her husband; of 38 years, Gilberto Gamboa , Her children; Linda Mendoza, Michael Overby, Maria (Fernando) Gamboa, and Gilbert (Mireya) Gamboa, Jr., and 10 grandchildren.Her brothers; Salvador (Emma) Lopez, Jesus (Alejandra) Lopez, Rodolfo Lopez, Martin (Gloria) Lopez, Humberto (Sandra) Lopez, sisters; Rosa (Carlos) Macias, Gloria Perez, and Aurora (Antonio) Flores, brother- in – law; Gonzalo Gamboa, III., and sister- in- law; Graciela (Roberto) Garza.The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Maria Regalado and Laredo Dialysis South.A vigil will be held at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services on Tuesday, May 04, 2010, from 5pm-9pm with a rosary 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 05, 2010, from Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services to San Vicente de Paul Church for a Mass at 11:00 am . Interment will follow immediately at City Cemetery.Pallbearers will be; Gilberto Gamboa, Jr., Kristopher Mendoza, Fernando E. Garcia, Martin Lopez, Sergio Garcia, Humberto Lopez, Antonio Flores and Linda Mendoza.Honorary Pallbearers are; Gilberto Gamboa,Sr.,Gilberto Gamboa, Jr., Rodolfo Lopez, Jesus Lopez, Salvador Lopez, Jr., Michael Overby, Jerry Overby, III., Ramiro Mata, III and Carlos Macias.Funeral service arrangements have been entrusted to the funeral directors of Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services, 4502 Thomas Ave. Laredo, Tx 78041 (956) 723-3611.
