Amando Salinas, 65, entered the gates of Heaven to be with the Lord, on, Saturday, January 17, 2015.  “Mando” as he was affectionately known by his family and numerous friends was a caring son, devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.  To his two grandsons not only was he their “papi” but he was also their hero and role model.  His passion in life was to be outdoors with his sons and dedicating his time to his grandchildren.  Family and friends will also remember his fun personality, his generous heart, his willingness to help and his unmistakable smile.  Those fortunate to have met him will always have fond memories of the great man he was.  During this hard time he would want everyone to keep a positive outlook on life the way he always did.  To his family and numerous friends lamenting his loss, remember his smile, his courage, and caring ways that will forever keep him alive in our hearts.

Mr. Salinas was preceded in death by his father: Osbaldo Salinas, Sr. and brother: Gilberto Salinas.  Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 32 years of marriage, Laura Alicia Salinas, loving children: Amando Guadalupe Salinas, Brenda Salinas and Alan Eduardo Salinas, grandchildren: Carlos Sanchez, IV, Eduardo Sanchez, Alanee Lyann Salinas and Emma Nadine Salinas, mother: Rebecca Morales Salinas, brothers: Osbaldo (Oralia) Salinas and Oscar (Ana) Salinas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.  “Mando” will be greatly missed.

The family will be receiving friends Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will he held on Saturday, January 24, 2015.  Chapel service will officiate at 10:00 am by Deacon Gerardo Morales.
