Amalio F. Ortiz, 98, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Ortiz.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children; Oscar (Alicia) Ortiz, Gloria (Cipriano) Muñoz and Amalio (Letty) Ortiz, Jr., grandchildren; Sandra Ortiz, Oscar Ortiz, Reymundo Ortiz, Jesus Ortiz, Patty Peterson, Cipriano Muñoz Jr., Linda Martinez, Ana Muñoz Garcia, Sergio Muñoz, Araceli Muñoz, Amalio Alberto Ortiz, Yvette Ortiz-Galinzoga and Anissa Ramirez, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests Monday, August 15, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. A prayer service will be held at 9:00 am. Officiating will be Deacon Gerardo Morales. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Ortiz, Amalio Ortiz, Oscar Ortiz Jr., Reymundo Ortiz, Cipriano Muñoz Sr., Amalio Alberto Ortiz, Jesus Martinez and Dennis Garcia. Pallbearers Jesus Ortiz, Cipriano Muñoz Jr., Sergio Muñoz, Peter Muñoz, Jose Galinzoga, and Juan Garcia.

Reciban nuestras condolencias. Revelacion o Apocalipsis 21:4 dice que "Dios limpiara toda lágrima de los ojos y la muerte no sera mas". En Hechos 24:25 dice que "va ha haber una resurrección". Entonces Jehova Dios nos promete que en un futuro muy sercano acabará con toda la maldad y el sufrimiento incluyendo las enfermedades y la muerte y cualquier otra cosa que nos haga sufrir y llorar.
