Obituary

Patricia Garza Ramirez, 64, proud and loving mother, grandmother, and daughter of Laredo, Texas entered into eternal rest on Saturday the 12th of November, 2016.

She was born in Laredo on July 14th, 1952 and raised by her loving mother and father, Guadalupe V. Garza (1910 – 1995) and Andelia Garza (1919 – 2016).  Patricia was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Jennifer Robertson (Jessie) and Jo Ann Barahona (Carlos).  Her grandchildren were and will continue to be the lights that brightened her spirit and soul.  Celeste, Camryn, Adam, Jasmine, and Sophia brought her so much joy and in the character and eyes of these children we will see Patricia’s fierce, proud character live on.  Patricia was loyal to her mother, Andelia, providing companionship and solace to her through the end of her life.  She is survived by her brothers and sisters – Lalita Salmon (Val), Priscilla Garza Salinas (Mario), Leonor ‘Noni’ Garza Chavez (Roldan †), Larry Garza (Irene), Cristelo Garza (Michele), Andelia Adame Witkke (Glenn), Roberto ‘Bobby’ Garza (Aida), MaryLou Buitron (Richard) and dear friend Robbie West (Dave †).  She joins her brothers, Jose, Felipe ‘Pipe’, and Mike, who passed before her.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, November 16th, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, where a Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  A graveside ceremony will be held Thursday, November 17th, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Patricia. My condolences go out to the Garza and Ramirez families during this time of great sorrow. Please know God knows and understands your pain for he also lost a loved one to death - his son Jesus Christ. God resurrected his son from the dead.(Acts 13:30) The Bible holds out that wonderful hope for us as well. Isaiah 26:19 promises us, "Your Dead Will Live. Awake and shout joyfully, You Residents In The Dust!.." With my deepest sympathies.

Reciban nuestras condolencias.
