Omelia Lorenzi Ortega, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 4, 2016.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Her legacy will continue by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ortega was preceded in death by her husband; David L. Ortega, sister; Enriqueta Dominguez, parents; Jose and Maria De Jesus Lorenzi and stepson, David Ortega.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Norma L. Ortega, Jose David (Norma) Ortega, Sylvia (Joe) Garza; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanchez, Anthony Sanchez, Jacqueline Sanchez, Joseph Garza, Daniella Garza; great grandchildren, Avanni Mendoza, David Mendoza; step children, Martha (Armando) Perez, Luis (Carmen) Ortega, Angelica Ortega Rodriguez, Gerardo Ortega Rodriguez, Alvaro (Isabel) Ortega Rodriguez, Claudia Ortega Rodriguez and Emmanuel Ortega Rodriguez. 

The family will receive guests Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a holy rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm.  Funeral services will be Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: Anthony Sanchez, Joseph Garza, Jose Garza, David Ortega, Luis Ortega and Alvaro Ortega.
