It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hector Hinojosa, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend. Hector Hinojosa left us on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the age of 84.
Born on November 28, 1940, Hector Hinojosa grew up in Laredo, Texas with his loving family. He was a source of strength, wisdom, and kindness to everyone who knew him. His generosity and unwavering support touched many lives and left an indelible mark on the community.
Hector joined the U. S. Army on February 7, 1961, and was assigned as an Armor Crewman. After he left the Army he returned to Laredo and worked at the Tex-Mex Railroad Company for many years. After retiring he became an entrepreneur and had several successful businesses.
Outside of his professional life, Hector was a devoted family man. He cherished his time with all his family.
Hector is preceded in death by his parents Genaro and Maria Magdalena Hinojosa, siblings David Hinojosa, Genaro Hinojosa, Irma Teeters, Raul Hinojosa, and Minerva Owens, son Hector Hinojosa, Jr.. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Gerardo Hinojosa of Dallas, Texas as well as various family members.
Hector will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us. We find comfort in the memories we hold and the lessons he taught us.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. A chapel service will be officiated at 10:00 am by Father Hector Flores. Interment will follow immediately to the Laredo City Cemetery.
