On Monday, December 29, 2025, Vicente Moreno Jr., age 72, passed away peacefully at his home, with his wife of 48 years, Adriana P. Moreno, by his side.
Vicente was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and later moved to Laredo, Texas in his early twenties, where he built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and family. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took great pride in providing for his loved ones.
Throughout his career, Vicente traveled extensively across the country while working as a driver for Transamerica and Key Energy Services, often sharing stories from the road with family and friends. He was also a Master Craftsman in Welding and spent a brief but meaningful part of his career working in the Houston area. Vicente eventually retired after many years of service with the City of Laredo Parks and Recreation Division.
In his free time, Vicente found joy in league bowling and was an active member of the Laredo Business Men League, bowling under several teams, including the Wrecking Crew. He was also involved in his community, volunteering for many years with the Chamber of Commerce at the Cola Blanca Big Buck Contest, where he was proudly recognized for his service and commitment.
Vicente is preceded in death by his parents, Isabel R. Moreno and Vicente Moreno Sr., his brother, Rodolfo Moreno.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Adriana P. Moreno; his son, Vincent Albert Moreno; and his beloved siblings: Teresita Moreno, Maria Elena Perez, Martha Saenz, Victor Manuel Moreno, and Laura Barajas; brothers and sister in law: Frank G. David, Joseph Michael Garza and Elizabeth Garza. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.
Vicente’s legacy of love, service, and perseverance will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Carlos Casas, Dr. Miguel Gutierrez, and Dr. Eduardo Fernandez; Esperanza Home Health nurse Martha and Maritza Lopez, FNP-C, of Prime Care Clinic. A special thank you to Maria Fajardo, provider, for her unwavering dedication, compassion, and support during this time.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather together to celebrate Vicente’s life. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. Following the service, Vicente will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
