I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. He has been in my thoughts, and I am so sad to find out just now. He helped me so much. I will miss his sense of humor, especially his sarcasm. May he Rest In Peace. My deepest condolences to his family. - Stephanie Reyna
I just read Tom's obituary in the Del Rio News-Herald. I taught with Tom at Del Rio High School and attended some political gatherings with him. I had not known that he moved to Laredo, as I was in Virginia for 11 years. Back in Del Rio, I am re-united with our common teaching community. I enjoyed Tom's friendship during his time here. I hope that his last years were healthy and pain free A good man has gone home. I ask God to bless and comfort all his family, and turn grief to loving memories.
Del Río High School was lucky to have him and I had the privilege as well to be one of his students. May heaven receive you with fields filled of cherry tomatoes, we all know how much you enjoyed snacking on them! We often sit back and think of our high school years, and you Sir, will always remembered! Rest In Peace Mr . McHugh!
De Río High School was lucky to have him and I had the privilege to be one of his students. Thanks for the laughs and for making class fun! Hope you are welcomed into heaven with fields filled with cherry tomatoes, I know how much you loved them! Ready in Peace Mr. Mchugh!
We are saddened to hear about his passing as we just found out today. He was a sweet kind man. Very comical I might say. I've never met another one quite like Mr. McHugh, he is surely one of a kind. I knew how much he loved and missed his family as he would always bring them up. I have always worried about him, wondering if he ever reconnected. Makes me happy to know he had moved out of Del Rio and hopefully moved close to them. May you rest in peace Mr. McHugh! Wish you knew how much you impacted our lives and how much we loved you. My condolences to his family. You will be greatly missed!
My condolences to the family of Tom McHugh. I was sadden to hear of his passing. I first got to know Tom when we were both stationed at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. I was his sponsor when he was assigned to the Communication Squadron. As a Result I was able to meet his whole family. A fine family he had. My condolences to the whole family. I'm sorry to say that I will be unable to attend the funeral because of prior commitments in San Antonio on Monday.
