We are very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, Sylvia. She was a very charming and gracious lady. I remember always seeing her with a beautiful smile on her face.
As a Customs House Broker, I had occasion to work with her when she worked with the U.S. Customs Service. She was known to go above and beyond the call of duty and was highly respected in the international trade community.
But most of all, I enjoyed discussing Laredo's history of which she had extensive knowledge.

I remember the many Friday and Saturday nights that we spent with you and Rogelio. We spent many an evening playing cards and going out for dinner. You always had apple pie ready for Bob's dessert after our dinner. Those were the days, my friend! I once had two people to call on May 31, my brother Javier and you. I know you have now joined your loved ones. God bless!
My deepest condolences to you, Becky, Linda, and Gerry. Your mother was such a wonderful woman. She was always willing to help everyone that she knew. Sylvia will be missed by the many, many people that she knew. Although we didn’t see one another at the end, she will always be one of the dearest, kindest friends I ever had.
