Sarita was the most accepting, caring and loving woman ever. I always tell stories about my neighbor who made the yummiest home made paletas, Nuez was my favorite. She made the best food. My favorite memory, I was about 6 years old, I took a potato from my pantry and walked over to Sarita's to ask her to make me some fries. And she did! She made the best fries. I always remember her as a strong independent lady. Her house was organized, even the paint on the outside was perfect. Never a chip. She will forever be a symbol of "Si se pueded." I will always tell these stories when I get the opportunity.

Sarita was always a safe haven. She accepted and cared for everyone. Until this day, I tell the story of my neighbor who sold the yummiest homemade Popsicles. And how one day I grabbed a potatoe from our pantry and took it to her and asked her to make me some fries. And she did! Her fries were the best! She was the strongest woman too! Did everything on her own and her house was always immaculate! Even the paint outside, never a chip. She will be greatly missed but always remembered as a strong, caring, accepting, loving woman. I will forever tell that story.
