Rosalinda Saldana Castillo, 64 passed away on Tuesday April 06, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs. Castillo was a very happy woman with a good sense of humor. She was a devoted Catholic, a Eucharistic Minister and a missionary worker. She helped the poor by feeding and clothing them anonymously. Mrs. Castillo played her guitar and sang for the Lord. She was a true servant of the Lord and an example for all to follow. She is survived by her husband; Guillermo Castillo of Laredo, daughters; Mrs. Pedro (Jennifer) Nava of Ft. Worth and Veronica Castillo of Laredo, sons; Guillermo (Sophia) Castillo II of Kyle, and Gonzalo (Maricela) Castillo of Laredo; her grandchildren; brothers, Gonzalo (Jill) Saldana of Dayton, Ohio and Fabian (Kathy) Saldana of Tinley Park, ILL and Mother-in-Law; Maria Hernandez Castillo of Laredo.She was preceded in death by her brother Nicho and her sisters, Gloria and Elena. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Carlos Llanes & staff, Dr. Jesus Pineda and EMS Ambulance. Friends and family will gather on Friday April 09, 2010, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 10, 2010 from Fred Dickey Funeral Home to San Agustin Cathedral Church 214 San Bernardo. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Guillermo Castillo II, Gonzalo Castillo, Pedro Nava, Staff Sergeant Peter Litman, Paul Litman, Jason Litman and Sergeant Meager Bernardo Serda. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services 4502 Thomas Ave.
