My sincere condolences to the family. It saddens me to know that a great friend took one step ahead of us. Rosie was my childhood friend. We went to elementary together. We had many memories together in her parents home. We loved playing pretend doctors, mommies, we baked. Once it was getting dark her father along with Rosie would take me home. Until we meet again Rosie. 🙏

Hugo Ramirez left a message on April 22, 2025:
Only once in all the years I had the privilege of knowing her did I have a heated discussion with Rosa regarding the term "mediocre" and its different connotations in the context of the English language versus the Spanish language. Fortunately, in the end, I think we came to an agreement that mediocrity was an enemy of the work we did as auditors. Rosa was the opposite of mediocrity in every sense: in her personal life with her family, with the dedication she put into her work, the support and protection of her colleagues at BBVA, her children, her husband, and her extended family. The same, or even greater, support and protection she always gave to her parents, whom she served and accompanied very closely until their passing. Today, she is reunited prematurely, but so that they can once again thank her for the kindness and strength that only a person like Rosa, their daughter, could provide. Always challenging, yet gentle. I thank you, Rosa, for your conversations and wise advice. You were a person I could turn to in times of distress. I will miss your calm and determination in facing difficulties. A true lady, a true homemaker, a true worker, a true woman. May the great Rosa Escobedo rest in peace!
