Robert G. Baez, 38, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at a local hospital in Laredo, TXHe was born in April 11, 1971, with Spinal Bifida, and he lived a long, happy and cheerful life, throughout which he made a lot of friends that loved and cared for him. Robert will be missed by all who knew him.Robert was preceded in death by his father: Roberto “Fido” Baez.He is survived by his mother: Magdalena S. Baez, sister: Joann B. (Jesus) and nephew: Jesse Flores, grandmother: Carmen G. Baez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.A vigil for the deceased will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services, from 4:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, from Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the following persons: Robert’s caregiver: Enrique Palomo, Dr. Francisco Pena who cared for Robert as a child, Dr Huang and all of his staff, Dr Enrique Garcia and staff, all of the LMC intensive care unit nurses and respiratory therapists, MASS Ambulance, Texas Visiting nurses palomitas, and last but not least, the care staff nurses of Buena Aventura; thank you for seeing Robert until the very end.
