Rene Mario Garcia, 71, joined the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2009, with his family by his side.Mr. Garcia served in the United States Army. He worked for the Civil Service and as a U.S. Customs Inspector for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his father: Rafael Garcia, mother: Olivia Salazar Garcia, and his brother: Jose Angel Garcia. He is survived by his wife: Rosa Meza Garcia, son: Rene (Janette) Garcia, daughters: Mara I. Garcia and Melva (Juan Carlos) Sanchez, grandchildren: Carlos Christian and Patricio Alejandro Sanchez, sister: Olivia Esther Garcia, nephews: Gabriel (Rosela) and Rafael Garcia and sister-in-law: Carmen Garcia. A vigil for the deceased will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 4pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 13, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial at San Martin de Porres at 9:00am.
