A man of few words but when he spoke, spoke using many factual words.
Raymundo Parra Ramos passed into eternal rest on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
He was born on December 7, 1950, to Olga Ramos and Raymundo Parra.
A local businessman along with his wife of 49 years raised five children. Mr. Parra was born in Rodriguez, N.L. and lived in Laredo most of his life. His greatest time was spending time with loving family at home watching Sunday football, a “Cowboys fan” but his true love was hunting season. At a young age became interested in working the in the air conditioning service. He began his work with Jorge de la Garza and moved on to work for Montgomery Wards. He was encouraged by his passion of hard work to have his own business, Parra’s Air Conditioning and Appliance Service.
Mr. Parra is preceded in death by his son, Edmundo Parra and brother, Guillermo Ramos Parra.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Simona Parra Lancon; children, Maria (Ricardo) Martinez, Luis E. Parra, Cindy Villanueva and Jessie Parra; grandchildren, Jesus Raymundo Vaquera, Chelsea I. Martinez, Javier Villanueva, Ricardo Martinez III and George Allen Martinez; brother, Sebastian “Juan” Ramos.
The family will receive guests Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Services will conclude after the mass. Honoring Mr. Parra’s wishes cremation service will follow.

To Parra family. My most sincere condolences on the passing of Mr Raymundo Parra. I was a client of his, will miss his dedication to his work, will miss you Mr Parra.
Me sorprendi al ver que Mundo se nos adelanto en el viaje que todos debemos hacer. Me trajo gratos recuerdos de cuando eramos niños. Fuimos compañeros de infancia. Crecimos juntos en la colonia Victoria. Yo vivia en el puestecito donde vendiamos revistas y elotes a media cuadra de su casa. No pude acompañarles, pero les doy mis sinceras condoleancias y les deseamos la paz y el consuelo de Dios para toda la familia.
Reciban nuestras condolencias. En la biblia encontramos el consuelo para poder sobrellevar la pérdida de un ser querido que haya fallecido. Por ejemplo en Revelación o Apocalipsis 21:4 dice que “Dios limpiará toda lágrima de los ojos y la muerte no será, ni existirá ya más lamento ni clamor ni dolor”. Y en Hechos 24:15 habla de “una Resurrección”. Jehova Dios nuestro amoroso creador tiene el poder y el deseo de devolverles la vida a nuestros seres queridos que hayan muerto.
