Raul Garcia, 54, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 22, 2020. When he entered into heavens gates he was lovingly welcomed with open arms by his family and friends.
He worked for the Texas Workforce Commission. A very loving man, he treated his friends as his own family. As a graduate of Martin High School he was a devoted tiger. And an ardent Pittsburg Steelers and Los Angeles Lakers fan; he always brought a celebration of life as he lovingly deejayed during events.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Florencio G. & Cristina Garcia; son, Alejandro Rene Garcia; sister, Cristina Vasquez.
Left to cherish his memory is his siblings, Florencio C. (Maria S.) Garcia, Guillermo Garcia; fury friend, Stella Garcia; nieces, nephews, and other family.
Stella will now be adopted by his grand-nephew Damian to care for.
The family will be receiving guests Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will start at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The funeral mass will start at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Segovia, Johnny Montavlo, Luis “Bird” Rodriguez, Rudy Lopez, Mario Medellin, Albert Leza, Rodolfo “Wimpie” Morales Jr., Cuit Rodriguez, Rick Valdez, and D.J. Slinkie, and Robert Manzo Jr.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the medical staff at LMC, Laredo Specialty, and the Laredo Nursing & Rehab for their exceptional care and support. Also special thanks to Nora Villarreal and step daughter Michelle Cavazos whom he loved very much and who both remained by his side.
