Though we will miss him greatly, we rejoice in Ramiro Alberto Gonzalez’s return to our Heavenly Father on March 16, 2021, at age 49.
Ramiro, or Alberto as he was referred to by his family, entered the world on July 26,1971 to parents Alicia Molina and Ramiro Gonzalez.
Ramiro was born and raised in Laredo, TX and was a proud graduate of United High School. After graduation he went on to marry and have 2 children. Ramiro’s children meant more than words could describe. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Unendingly proud of his children, he was always excited to see what they would accomplish next and ready to support them.
After working for several years as a security downtown, he would return to his Alma Mater and become a security there. Ramiro worked for United Independent School District for 18 years, after being transferred to a different school, he became a truancy officer. While demonstrating great work ethic, what stood out the most was his ability to become fast friends with his coworker’s at every school he worked at.
Ramiro was a loving and caring son, father, nephew and friend whose loss will be felt by all who knew him. He was a giving person, that was always willing to help those in need. Throughout his life, he held unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. As a devout Catholic he found his home at St. Joseph Church, where he would become an active member of the Knight of Columbus Council #15783.
Ramiro is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus and Consuelo De Luna Molina, Valentin and Guadalupe Santa Cruz as well as his father Ramiro “Choco” Gonzalez.
Ramiro is survived by his mother, Alicia Molina and two children, Ramiro Alberto Gonzalez Jr and Clarissa Elizette Gonzalez. He is also survived by his aunts San Juanita Navarro and Norma Jean Molina.
