Rafael Herrera, 53, went to Heaven to be with God Jesus, Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Rafael had passion for traveling in particular to the beach. He was an avid gardener beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by parents–in-law, Pedro & Nico Montantes; sisters-in-law, Gloria Purnell; Irma Almazan; brother-in-law, Johnny Montantes.
Rafael is survived by his wife, Blanca D. Herrera; children, Scott Herrera (Vanessa Vela), and Jennifer Herrera; parents, Ricardo & Maria Cristina Herrera; siblings, Ricardo Herrera III, Rene Herrera, Samuel Herrera (Ceci Montantes), Maria Cristina Pulido (Jake); siblings-in-law, Martha Flores (Ruben), Maria Elena Montantes (Fernando), and Efrain (Melba) Montantes; nieces and nephews, Daniel Aguinaga, Christian Herrera, Samantha Herrera, Lainnie Herrera, Nikki Herrera, Carolina (Jorge) Brondo, Aaron Herrera, Brian Montantes, Jake J. Pulido, Justin Pulido, and Lisa Eck (Kory); Jorge, Austin, Damon, and Ethan Vela; as well as other family and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the Angelus chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A chapel service will be officiated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
