We were so sad to learn that Pete had passed away. I believe he and Maricela were my second cousins as my maternal grandmother (Dora Garza Guerra) was my Tia Lala's sister in law. Pete was the nicest person ever, always so full of love and kindness. I will never forget him, Maricela, Tia Marta,Tio Kooko or Tia Lala. Last time we saw them was probably in the 1990's as my parents (Eduardo & Graciela Franco) with my grandmother were in a car accident in Laredo. Pete helped them a lot with the car problems. Our deepest sympathy to his family. God bless all of you. Love, Ofelia (Ofie Franco) and Mark Parker, Tyler, TX.

My sincerest condolences to Auntie Ester, Marco, Alonzo, Gina and Ernie. Pete was a great man with a heart the size of Texas. I looked up to him like a father. I loved talking to him while he cooked out on the smoker. He was well grounded, always the rock in the torrent stream. He is loved, and will be missed dearly. Rest in Power Tío Pete...
