In Loving Memory of Nicolas Roland Polanco
September 9th, 2008 – May 11, 2025.
With deep sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Nicolas Roland Polanco, age 16, who tragically left us far too soon on May 11, 2025.
Born on September 9th, 2008, Nicolas brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew him. A Sophomore at United High School, he was known for his kind heart, infectious smile and the light he brought to every room. Nicolas had a friend everywhere he went, always connecting and laughing with whoever he crossed paths with. Whether he was running, learning to play his guitar, or helping a friend through a hard time, Nicolas lived each moment with sincerity and love in his soul. Nicolas never failed to remind everyone how much he loved them every minute of every day, and there was never any doubt how big his heart was.
He had a soul that was truly light, bringing love and happiness to his entire family and all of his friends. Nicolas hoped to inspire, motivate and drive those around him to reach their greatest heights. Nicolas’ life was dedicated to his family and friends, they cherished and will never forget his humor and love. He enjoyed bonding with his brothers, traveling with his mom, and goofing around with his friends.
Nicolas is survived by his loving mother, Arcelia Polanco; his step-father David Salazar; his older brothers, Isaac Polanco, and Sebastian (Mackenzie) Olage; his grandparents, Placido and Amalia Polanco; his uncle, Juan (Frances) Polanco; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and friends who adored him. His absence leaves an unfillable space in the hearts of those who loved him deeply.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm.
