Mireya was a devoted member of the Tuesday Music & Literature Club for many years, currently serving as Corresponding Secretary. She entertained us at our Annual Valentine Tea , playing the piano with an eclectic program of her favorite selections. We all loved her and she was a great role model for all of us. We will miss her! May she rest in peace.

To the Family of Mireya Guajardo with much love. It saddens my heart with the passing of Mireyita, as I fondly called her. Mireyita was my mentor, my friend, and a role example to all. Our time at Nixon High School were some of the best years of my life as I spent many hours in the library as a teacher. I would watch and admire Mireya for her knowledge of knowing where every book was located. I went on to become the Nixon Librarian and always tried to follow in her footsteps, which I never would be able to. Later, I also became a Laredo Medical Center auxilian and once again our paths met. It was not by chance but was destiny. I will miss her wonderful smile and beautiful disposition. She was truly a special person and will be greatly missed. Condolences to Pitin and all the family.
