Miguel Luis Gonzalez, 72, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Miguel was a retired employee of Union Pacific Railroad where he worked for 37 years. He was a US Army veteran who proudly served his country. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Luis & Ana Maria Gonzalez; grandmother, Antonia Melendrez; siblings, Juan Jose Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, and Humberto Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maria Elena Gonzalez; children, Mariana (Reynaldo) De Leon, Mauricio (Luz) Gonzalez, Monica (Joseph Martinez) Gonzalez; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Rosario (Pedro) Solis, Ernesto (Elsa) Gonzalez, Laura (Juan) Smith, Luis Gonzalez Jr., Ana Maria (Hector) Valadez, and Jesus Gonzalez.
The family will receive guests Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2019, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army and Laredo Veterans Honor Guard.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Dr. Carlos Casas, Dr. Eduardo Miranda and to nurses Angie, Dalia, Cindy, and Jesus for their exceptional care.
