Maria Teresa Ramon, 91, died peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at her home after a courageous struggle with cancer. She lived in Laredo most of her life as a loving mother, devoted wife, caring grandmother and for many years served her immediate community as owner and operator of Ramon’s Grocery.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Oswaldo Fernando Ramon, a veteran of World War II, her son Oscar Fernando Ramon, and daughter Rosa Hilda Ramon.

Mrs. Ramon is survived by her cherished children, Evaristo Barraza (Mirtha), Vietnam War veteran, Lilia Vela, G. Oswaldo Ramon, Humberto Ramon, her treasured grandchildren, Oswaldo Ramon (Wally), Victor Ramon, Humberto (B2) Ramon, Oswaldo F. Ramon, Anali Vargas (Ruben), Cristina Alva (Jerry), Lorena Vela-Parker (Dillon Joe), Erika  Ramon, by her precious great-grand-children, her sister Ernestina (Tina) Ojeda, and brother Cruz Salgado. She also leaves behind loving relatives, nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends for a memorial service on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Dr., from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
