Maria Teresa Monsivais, 89, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Mrs. Monsivias served as a cursillista, choir director, and catechist at San Francisco Javier Church. Additionally, she was actively engaged with the services of the Diocese.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose “Pepe” Monsivais, parents; Maria Garcia and Agustin Garcia; siblings, Roberto Garcia, Eva Gomez and Ramon Garcia; great grandchild, Jose Luis Monsivais III.

She is survived by her children, Sylvia Belinda (Juan) Andrade, Jose Luis “Cochi” (Alma Belinda) Moncivais, Maricela Monsivais (Horace) Thorpe and Jaime (Norma) Monsivais; 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from the funeral home to San Francisco Javier Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jaime Andrade, Jose Luis Monsivais, Jr., Antonio “AJ” Walker, Jorge Andrade, Javier Andrade, EJ Sanchez, Jaime A. Monsivais and Jayden Medina.
