Our beloved and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother Maria R. Gaona, 95, joined her heavenly father surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Doña Maria was born in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and lived most of her life in Laredo, Texas. She will be greatly missed, but know that she is in a better place.She was preceded in death by her parents Emilio and Emilia Reyes, sisters: Tomasa and Maria de Jesus Reyes, sons: Juan Antonio and Jose Angel Gaona Reyes, and her loving Husband Maximino Gaona.She is survived by her loving Son, Rodolfo (Elvira) Gaona Reyes, Grandchildren: Emilia (Ramiro) Contreras, Rodolfo (Jennie) Gaona, Jr., Guillermo (Laura E.) Gaona and Mario Alberto (Linda) Gaona, Great-Grandchildren: Ramiro Jr., Victoria Citlali, Lorena Tezcatli Contreras, Rodolfo III, Rylee Andrea, Ryan Maximino Gaona, Karla Daniela, Guillermo Jr., Larissa Belicia Gaona, Anthony Joseph and Alyssa Jiani Gaona as well as numerous relatives.Family members will be receiving relatives and friends Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at San Jose Church. Holy Mass will commence at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
