Maria Lucia Gomez, 92, of Laredo, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Maria was predeceased by her husband, Manuel Gomez, and her children, Lucy Estrada and Patricio Gomez. She is survived by her children, Leonor (Franciscoꝉ) Luna, Frances (Rudyꝉ) Estrada, Manuel (Vangie) Gomez, Belda (Jay) Shanks, Andrea (J.J.) Bustamante, and Gerardo (Maggie) Gomez, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 21st, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service commencing at 6:00 PM and Rosary at 7:00 PM at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral Services will be held at San Luis Rey Catholic Church on Friday, April 22nd, 2022 at 8:30 AM located at 3502 Sanders Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Esteban Estrada, Manuel Gomez, Jr., Juan (J.J.) Bustamante, Jr., Jesse Luna, Freddy Gomez, Jerry Gomez, Jr., Rudy Estrada Jr., and Joshua Shanks. Honorary pallbearer Teja Coy.
