Maria was a beacon of light and love to everyone she encountered. Her unwavering faith in God and dedication to her family were the cornerstones of her existence. She instilled these values deeply within her children and grandchildren, nurturing them with love, wisdom, and spirituality. Maria’s daily prayers, especially her nightly rosary, were a source of comfort and strength, not only to her but to all who knew her.

Her home was a hub of warmth and memories, where she enjoyed engaging in crossword puzzles, reminiscing with family members, and cherishing time with her grandchildren. These simple joys brought great fulfillment to her life, making her home an oasis of peace and happiness.

Maria is survived by her loving children, Francisco Ramos Jr. (Margarita), Andres Ramos (Elizabeth), Reynaldo Ramos (Patricia), Blanca Stevenson (John), Ruby Ramos (Janie), Dolores Gaylord- Ramos, Carlos Ricardo Ramos (Jessica), Virginia Ramos, and Margaret Boswell (Michael). She was a loving sister, Aunt and friend. She was a proud grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother to many, who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her loyal and protective Granddog, Penny.

She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Francisco Ramos; children, Maria Isabel, Diana Imelda, Esmeralda, Rolando; her parents, Alfonso and Andrea Liendo; and her brothers, Carlos and Alfredo Liendo.

The family would like to give special thanks to her dialysis nurses at US Renal Care Las Canteras; her Ambulance team at Laredo Lifeline; her PCP Dr. Oscar Gutierrez-Vizuet, and her Caregiver Perla Zavala for her love, care and companionship throughout the years.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in prayer and remembrance. Visitation is scheduled at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Dr., Laredo, Texas, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, September 9, 2024 from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
