Maria Gil Cavazos, 81, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, February 19, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Cavazos, Sr.; parents, Pedro & Matilde Gil; son, Margarito Cavazos, Jr.; siblings, Juan Gil, Guadalupe Gil, and Aida Mendoza; grandson, Margarito Cavazos, III.

Maria is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Gilbert) Cavazos, and Elsa (Jose Rubio) Cavazos Rubio; grandchildren, Melissa Cavazos, Michelle Cavazos, Alyssandra Rubio, Samantha Rubio, Amanda Rubio, Joey Rubio, PJ Rubio, JR Inocencio, Analisa Inocencio, Angelina Inocencio, Abigail Inocencio, and Aimee Rubio; great-grandchildren, Oliver Oh, and Jaythan Martinez; brother, Pedro (Rosa) Gil, Jr.; as well as nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

The Cavazos family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 1718 San Jorge Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. The Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.
