Maria Eliza M. Elizondo, 89, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, February 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Elizondo Sr.; father, Francisco Monsibais, mother, Maria P. Monsibais; siblings, Estela Monsibais, Maria Teresa (Salvador) Caballero, Irma (Hector+) Garza, Luis (Refugia) Monsibais, Francsico (Concepcion) Monsibais Jr., Oscar (Emma) Monsibais, and Herbert Monsibais Sr.
Maria is survived by her children, Roberto (Maria Concepcion) Elizondo Jr., Diana Eliza (Ale) Elizondo, and Patricia E. (Erick) Valdez; grandchildren, Eliza Denise Elizondo, Alexa Victoria Elizondo, and Erick Valdez Jr.; brother in law, Dolores “Lolo” (Minerva) Elizondo Jr.; sister in law, Matilda Monsibais; as well as other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Garza, Luis Garza, Erick Valdez Sr., Erick Valdez Jr., Dolores “Lolo” Elizondo Jr., Arturo Mendoza, and Jorge Lopez.
The Elizondo family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at San Agustin Catholic Cathedral, located at 201 San Agustin Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. The Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.
