Our beloved mother and grandmother, Margarita Trevino –Cuellar Martinez passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born in old Zapata, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas most of her life. Mrs. Martinez worked for Sears and then later retired from L.I.S.D. She was preceded in death by her husband Raul J. Martinez, her parents, Primitivo Trevino and Beatriz Cuellar-Trevino and by all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Martinez, her granddaughter, Jessica Marie Martinez and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would like to thank the staff of Doctors Hospital especially Amado Gutierrez, House Supervisor, Mike Pena, RN, Jamie Nellesen, RN, Ursula Martinez, RN, Juan Neira, RN, the staff of Laredo Specialty Hospital and Doctors Eduardo Gomez-Vasquez, Jorge Gomez-Vasquez and Andres Zuniga Garcia for their care and attention. Special thanks to Constable Rudy Rodriguez for his assistance. Family will be receiving friends and family at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm by Deacon David Vargas. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9 am at Blessed Sacrament Church with Father Wojciech officiating.
