Margaret Mary Peregoy (April 6, 1985 – May 17, 2024)
Margaret Mary Peregoy, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother, 39, of Laredo, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her loving husband, family, and close friends. Her untimely death follows a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Margaret leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Margaret was born in Laredo, Texas, in 1985 to Frank Thaddeus and Maria Leticia Mull. Her positive impact upon the world and those she encountered never faltered. A lifelong resident of Laredo, Margaret was a proud 2003 graduate of Dr. Leonides G. Cigarroa High School. Later, Margaret attended Stephen F. Austin University in Huntsville, Texas, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2019.
In 2008, Margaret met her future husband and the love of her life, Bobby Peregoy. Following their chance encounter, rivaled by none, their love for one another blossomed into the type of story many can only dream of someday experiencing. Together, Margaret and Bobby stared the world in the eyes, undeterred, and set forth to achieve their life goals. Their devotion to one another was a daily reminder of the power of true love and commitment.
In 2010, Margaret and Bobby welcomed their daughter, Riley Olivia, into this world, followed by their son, Jackson Alexander (Jack), a short three years later, in 2013. Margaret fiercely loved her children. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she abundantly provided.
Margaret enjoyed maintaining a healthy lifestyle, particularly as a devoted member of the Laredo Morning Crew, a running club, and the Bodify Functional Fitness family. As an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, Margaret routinely maintained a running schedule with her fellow runners and frequently participated in various running events.
Margaret’s favorite pastime was being with people she loved. She was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, in-law, and friend. You could often find her hosting a cookout, playing with her nephews, letting out a big belly laugh to her own joke, or staying out too late with her favorite people.
Margaret was a true force to be reckoned with. She inspired all she touched, and her untimely exit from the world will be felt for a long time. Each day, Margaret’s light shone brightly, and we are better people, having been allowed to experience her impact on our lives.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Frank Thaddeus Mull, father-in-law, Stephen Allen Peregoy, and stepbrother, Kyle Persinger.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bobby Peregoy; daughter, Riley Olivia; son, Jackson Alexander; mother, Maria Leticia (Andy) Persinger; and sisters, Dominique Michelle (Luis) Arredondo; Francesca Paris (Alexander) Dowd; and Alexandra Dion (Thomas) Nanney; stepbrother, Bryan (Victoria) Persinger; mother-in-law, Janice Marie Peregoy; brother-in-law, Steve (Sylvia) Peregoy, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom will never forget the love, joy, and the inspiration she brought to their lives.
