Obituary

Laura Garcia Jacaman was welcomed to God’s Kingdom on November 24, 2021. She was born and raised in Laredo.

Mrs. Jacaman loved her family and her community and spent her life making a difference in the lives of those she knew. Her generous, loving and kind ways touched many. She had a very special relationship with God and our Blessed Mother and will be remembered for her active role with the Blessed Sacrament Choir for many years. Mrs. Jacaman also organized the annual Choir Dance and helped with the monthly musica reservata recitals. She was even made Honorary “Madrina” of the choir and still found time to volunteer at numerous nursing homes.

Mrs. Jacaman and her husband donated land to the City of Laredo for the construction of Laredo Entertainment Center and Jacaman Road, along with more land for the extension of Bob Bullock loop, and more land which connects Springfield to Mann Road, and the development of JSJ ESTATES.

Always putting others before her, this loving housewife and mother also loved music, travel, poetry, birds, the moon and rain.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe John Jacaman, son Eduardo Andres Jacaman, her father Andres Garcia, mother Maria Ancira Garcia, sister Angelica Garcia, sister Maria Luisa Hensley and brother Andres Garcia.

Mrs. Jacaman is survived by her three children, which include son John Joseph Jacaman (Danielle), and daughters Laura Jacaman (Jerry Sanchez), Patricia Jacaman and grandson John Jordan Jacaman. She also leaves behind sister Teresita Gutierrez, many nieces and nephews, very special friends, notably Manuel and Mary Ponce.

A private rosary was held at Fred Dickey Funeral Home on December 9, followed by a Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church and burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on December 10.

She was truly an angel on Earth and our loss is Heavens gain.
