Mr. Juan Roman Garcia was called to his heavenly home on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Roman Garcia and Abelina Teneyuque Garcia; brother, Oscar Garcia; sister, Oralia Casas and his favorite uncle, Fernando Garcia.

Juan is survived by beloved his wife of 62 years, Elvira Olga Garcia; children, Yvonne S. (Dr. Armando R.) Hinojosa, Juan Roman (Christina) Garcia Jr., Monica (Jose) Alfaro; grandchildren, Corinna D. Garcia, Mickayla J. Garcia, Natalia (Omar) Guerra, Juan Roman Garcia III, David Alfaro, Stefanie Alfaro, Esmeralda Alfaro; great-grandchildren, Nicolas Guerra and Camila Guerra; sisters, Dora Alicia Pizaña, Rosa Hilda Garcia and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Juan, who was lovingly called “Yeyo” by his grandkids, loved spending time dining out with family and friends. He was a foodie at heart. His joyous sense of humor and jokes will always bring pleasant memories. Juan was a devout Catholic and prayed very often. The family rests, knowing he’s been called home to his Lord and Saviour. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend will leave his mark of love and kindness in the hearts of his family and friends alike.

The family will receive guests during a Memorial Visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023; a prayer service will be held at noon. Services will be held in the Angelus Chapel of Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 1320 Trey Dr., Laredo, Texas 78041.
