Jose C. Sanchez

Jose C. Sanchez, 93, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2012. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus, and participated in numerous commendable organizations such as the Order of Alhambra, The American Legion Post 59, The Laredo Rotary Club, The Good Neighbor Council and The Friendship Club. Mr. Sanchez was also a volunteer with the Special Olympics and was an Army veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II.He was preceded in death by his parents: Carlos and Carmen Sanchez, siblings: Homero R. Sanchez and Alicia S. Dunggan. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Thelma G. Sanchez of 65 years of marriage; children: Caridad R. (Raul) Cisneros and Isela Sanchez; grandchildren: Brian, Carina, Daniela, Raul and Alejandro; sister-in-law: Alicia V. (Homero) Sanchez and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive relatives and friends for funeral services Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will begin at 8:00am promptly followed by a rosary at 10:30am and vigil at 11:00am.
