Jorge Rendon, 37, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Jorge worked at UISD maintenance department and had recently been promoted to grounds supervisor. Jorge served sixteen years in the Texas State Guard and served 10 active duty years with Homeland Security.

He was an ACTS brother as well as a Journey to Damascus Brother. Jorge was also an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Jorge was a graduate of Martin High School- Class of 2002 and served in various community organizations. He will be dearly missed by friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Jose (Consuelo) Rendon; maternal grandparents; Jose (Armandina) Espinoza, aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Alfredo (Sara) Rendon; brothers: Alfredo E. (Blanca) Rendon Jr. , Cesar X.(Lizbeth) Rendon, and Luis F. Rendon; nieces and nephews, Cynthia, Samantha, Cesar Jr. , Damian, and Diego Rendon; surviving uncles and aunts, Dora (Anibal +) Magallanes, Olivia (Juan) Lecea, Jose A. (Elida) Espinoza, Victor (Dolores) Espinoza, and Graciela (Juan Hector) Gonzalez numerous other family and friends.

The family will be receiving guests, Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will start at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alfredo E Rendon Jr., Cesar X Rendon, Luis F Rendon, Ricardo Espinoza, David Gonzalez, Jose A Espinoza Jr, Domingo Lecea, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Villanueva, and Carlos Magallanes

For the safety of the public, the family will also be live streaming the services at www.freddickey.com on Sunday, December 27, 2020, starting at 5:00 pm.

My sincerest condolences to the Rendon family. I had the Honor of servicing with Jorge in many occasions. Rest in peace brother.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to...Jorge's family....Heaven has really gained an ANGEL. I have never known anyone with a bigger HEART than Jorge. Not only could he brighten your day but he made you feel special. He would always leave you with a smile whenever you saw him. I would run into him constantly at the HEB or the stripes....and a HUGE HUG AND A GREAT BIG SMILE was what he would greet you with. Never did he tell you about how he was doing but would always ask if you and everyone around you were doing alright...he was never shy to extend a helping hand. A GREAT PERSON WHO ALWAYS PUT EVERYONE BEFORE HIMSELF....

You were a great person and friend, you will be truly missed. I can already envision you fishing with God. We send our deepest condolences to the family. May God’s peace and love surround you all during this difficult time. Blessings to you all.

To Jorge’s family. I had the district pleasure of supervising Jorge when he worked at the Laredo Joint Operations Intelligence Center as a state guardsman. Jorge also went to my home on several occasions when I needed help with household repairs. In addition, Jorge had a love for the ranch as I do. He assisted me at the ranch on several occasions as well. More so Jorge had a kind heart and was always offering to help others in need. I will always consider him a very good friend with a kind heart.
