Obituary

Jorge Carlos Liendo, 75, or “Coki” as he was so lovingly called, passed away Friday night, September 2, 2022 in Laredo, TX. He was born and raised here.

Mr. Liendo was an enthusiastic worker who spent a large portion of his life working downtown. He then worked at Zuñiga Logistics, a forwarding agency, from 1995 until his retirement in 2010. After his retirement, he enjoyed many years with his family, who were his pride and joy. Anyone who knew him knew of his love and dedication for the Dallas Cowboys, as well as his lighthearted humor; in his honor, the family is requesting guests at his rosary service wear casual Dallas Cowboys attire.

He was received by his parents, siblings and youngest son, Cesar Ismael Liendo, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his caring wife of 37 years, Genoveva G. Liendo; children, Jorge Carlos Liendo Jr., Gabriel Gerardo Liendo, Griselda Anna (Adam) Edgell, Roxana Denys (Brent) Carpenter, Karen Michelle Liendo, and Paola Melissa Liendo; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests on Thursday, September 8, 2022, in the Angelus chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church located at 1602 Garcia St, Laredo, TX 78040.
