Obituary

Our community sadly lost a pillar Friday Nov. 25th, 2022, when Jon Jeffrey Guerrero went to be with the lord at the age of 60.

Jon was a loving devoted husband, a fun-loving sibling, an ever-present pillar of strength for his family, (children and grandchildren, mother and father in law) his compadres, friends and co-workers and so many more people in the community whose life he touched. As a young father with four children, Jon served in the National Guard in 1982 and studied hard to get diverse certifications that would enable him to make a better life for his family. He took his knowledge of plumbing, which he learned by working beside his father, and grew it into a meaningful and fulfilling career with the City of Laredo as an inspector for the building department.

Jon is survived by his Wife, Cynthia Guerrero, and his four children, Elizabeth, Jon Jr., Joshua, and Rebecca.

Memorial Services to be held at Fred Dickey Funeral Services 1320 Trey Dr. Laredo, TX 78041 on Wednesday Nov. 30th at 5pm to 9pm (celebration of life at 7pm). To be followed by Military Services Thursday Dec. 1st at 10am.

My cousin was a mirror image of my uncle Pepe, his father. By this I mean, he was a beautiful soul who always made you feel loved and blessed. We were suppose to meet for lunch but God had other plans for us. We did not speak often but we did run into each other often. I will miss our run ins and one day we will have that lunch in heaven. Love you Primo.
