Obituary

Jesus Rossell, Sr., 92, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 12, 2020, surrounded by his wife and children.

Mr. Rossell was an honorary member of the Guadalupanas.

Mr. Rossell is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Elvira Rossell; mother-in-law, Martha Guadalupe Falls; sisters, Maria Baker, Herminia Vasquez, Edelfina Jimenez; brothers, Lupe Rossell, Catarino Rossell, and Fernando Rossell.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 58 years of marriage, Guadalupe Rossell; children, Jesus (Mayra) Rossell, Ret. Maj. Abraham (Deyanira) Rossell, Diana (Baldo) Granados, Elvira (Clifford Eugene) Scriber, Arturo (Mercedes) Rossell; grandchildren, Khalylha Alexyz Rossell, Amy Perez, Darla Perez, Annie Perez, Sophia Rossell, Noah Rossell, Adan Rossell, Freddy Juarez Rossell, James Juarez Rossell, Baldo Granados, III, Annika Granados, Jesse Esparza, Steven Esparza, Landon Scriber, Christa Rossell, Daniela Rossell, Samuel Rossell; siblings, Gloria Rios, Mere Ramos, Juanita Rodriguez and Eustolio Rossell; as well as other family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Daddy loved watching baseball, a die-hard fan of the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.  Dad and mom enjoyed attending social gatherings with their wáter aerobic friends.   Daddy had a passion for dancing and loved to dance with his beloved Lupita by his side.

The family will be receiving guests, Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm follow by Mariachi Santa Cecilia with dad’s favorite mariachi songs. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Rossell, Jr., Abraham Rossell, Arturo Rossell, Baldo Granados, Jr., Clifford Eugene Scriber and Freddy Juarez Rossell.

Due to the COVID pandemic and for the safety of the public, the family will also be live streaming the funeral services including a Holy Rosary at www.freddickey.com on Sunday, starting at 5:00 pm.

The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Dr. Milton Haber, Dr. Mateo Reyes, Dr. Elsa Canales, Dr. Eduardo Miranda, Dr. Michael Morris and Dr. Robledo. Special thanks to all the Nurses on the 2nd floor of Doctors Hospital for all their care and attention given to my husband.
