Jesus Quijano, Jr., 83, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Mr. Quijano graduated from Raymond & Tirza Martin High School. He worked for the Tex-Mex Railroad for 39 years. He was a very hard working man who loved his family and he loved to travel all over. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed cooking out.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia T. Quijano and Jesus Quijano, Sr.; siblings, Maria de Jesus Pena, Francisca Harrel, Teresa Kontegorgis and Raul Quijano.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years of marriage, Sandra Quijano; children, Amy (Gilbert) Mancha, Jesus Noey (Christi) Quijano, Jorge Luis Quijano and Carlos (Mari) Quijano; grandchildren, Laysha Jimmez, Gilberto III, Matthew “MJ” and Amber Mancha, Jesus Noe Quijano, Jr, Gilbert O., Priscilla, Victor, Abigale Mancha, Carlos Quijano Jr., Jasmin (Ernie) Zahavedra Arciniega; great grandson, Ernie Jr; sister, Diana (Roberto) Rangel; as well as other family members who will greatly miss him.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to St. David’s Hospice & Family Care and staff RN case manager Dan, Rosenda, Leigh and Starlyn; Social worker Marivelle; Chaplain Holly; Aide Whitney Nolte and Director of Clinical Services Andrea Clark.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation services, where chapel doors will open at 7:00 am. A chapel service will be officiated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
