Mrs. Alvarez is preceded in death by her husband, Fortunato Alvarez Sr. and her sons, Isaac Alvarez and Andres Alvarez.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Maria Luisa (Vicente) Ramirez, Esmeralda (Juan) Gonzalez, Fortunato (Guadalupe)Alvarez,Jr., Elizabeth (David) Castrellon, Samuel(Ana Liliana)Alvarez, Benjamin Alvarez, Ismael Alvarez and Ruth Alvarez-Jacobson (Arne Jacobson), 17 grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, her sister Anita Castillo, nieces, nephews and other relatives and family.
The family will receive guests Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A prayer service will start at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019, at the funeral home chapel. The chapel service will at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vicente Ramirez, Vicente Ramirez Jr., Samuel Ramirez, Fortunato Alvarez, Isaac Alvarez, Samuel Alvarez, Ismael Alvarez, Andres Alvarez Jr.
